I have a customer that has an existing FaxPress 7500. That model wants a DID trunk plugged into it rather than using DTMF routing as I am used to with other models. Has anyone done this with the IPO? Can I use an So8 module for this?

Thanks in advance.

Yse an SO Module can provide DDI information

assuming the So has an out going gropu ID of 701 create a following short code similar to the following

sc 666
number .
feature dial
line group 701

create an incomming call route for all the DDI's you wish to route to the faxpress with a destination of 666
the ddi digits recieved from network provider will be passed to the So port

(dont forget you can use - in the incoming numbver field to mach from left to right & process a block of DDI's with one route, check the help files for more info)

Thanks IPGuru.

Have you catually worked with te FaxPress 7500 by chance?

I am a network guy, so when we start talking trunks like this - I lose confidence. My CSE mentions that since the FaxPress 7500 does not mention trunk types - it might not support QSig, in which case I would need back-to-back T-1 Modules.

I am confused. I wish it was all just IP sometimes. ;-)

That totally did not work for me. :)

Any other suggestions or did I do something wrong?

I've got a SC of 500.

Number is ".", feature is "Dial" and line group ID is "601" (first port of SO8.)

I've also tried Dial3K1, Dial56K.. nada. :(
