The system receives the message that the number is busy :)

i hear it dial, ring and pickup then it does not negotiate and it tells me its busy.?

fax2 dialled a busy number:

Line: type=Q931Line 13 Call: lid=0 id=1156 in=0

IP Office recognize the busy subscriber and disconnect the ISDN line:

the fax2 device does not recognize the busy tone and happily continue to try and send the fax and at:
6070509mS CMCallEvt: 0.1153.0 -1 fax2.0: TimerExpired State=CMCSCompletedTone
6070509mS CMExtnEvt: fax2: CALL LOST (CMCauseForceClear)
6070509mS CMExtnEvt: fax2: Extn(6462) Calling Party Number(6462) Type(CMNTypeInternal)
it gives up. That is after 30 seconds.

Can you succesfully dial the externa number with a standard phone and do you hear the fax tone from the remote site?

have you contacted you pri vendor to have this issue tested, they may need to option something on their end?

acss sme acis sme acss cm 5.2.1 acss cm and cmm acss aura messaging.

It's possible that while they are handling the call off as a PRI, that it is really not a true PRI. If this is the case, you may need to tell the provider the number you are using for the fax and they may need to condition the line to allow a fax transmission.

I believe Telecomboy is correct here, most likely it is a sip circuit converting to a pri so yes you will have to contact you pri vendor to fix this issue.

acss sme acis sme acss cm 5.2.1 acss cm and cmm acss aura messaging.

You can confirm by going in line with a test butt and listening to the call, I would wager you here busy tone returned confirming the trace, then you can push the provider for a fix/reason :)

"No problem monkey socks

If that is true then I would go to another provider, every self respecting provider can detect fax calls and adjust settings for that.
Over here every new ISDN connection transfers over IP nowadays and we never ever have problems with faxing, ISDN data calls or whatever type of data call.

I went to the provider and they advanced me to a level 2 tier. They have yet to contact me. I will update when I know more.

After another 3 hours on support on the telco side, found out the protocols were in the router for the PRI was wrong. After adjusting the protocols in the router (PRI) everything worked perfectly. Thanks for your help, this thread can close.
