Hello All

We are having issues with a PRI CID 2 lines going to the correct fax extension here is current set-up

IP412 6.1
Incoming Call route 2

9480 to extension 478
7616 to extension 477 (which are on a 8 POTS)

AA VM PRO has a F going to one extension 478

But now :

#1 how do we direct the second extension/CID to the other extension...create a F2?

ps seems like 478 when sent via fax machine it works...

ECcableguys,

Say what???

If you are trying to direct an incoming DID to a specific extension, just do it in "Incoming Call Route". There's no reason to use VM Pro.

yes i have it routed but for some un godly reason the voicemail grabs it ... WTF ! im going nuts haha...so i set the voicemail to take F = fax tones to a specified extension but this is only a temp fix..i dont know why the system even though is incoming call route it still refuses to push away from AA.

Uh, ok, that doesn't make sense... do you want assistance figuring out why vmail picks up, or do you want to work on routing the VMPro? If VMPro, can you provide more info?

if voicemail is picking up then something is probably wrong in your icr. look at a monitor trace and see where it is going, or post it here and we can tell you.

Well the fax extensions should answer not only to fax tone but to all tone.

Currently the vmpro answer i dont know why it would when voicemail is off. In the IPO Manager

To answer your first question it is not possible to specify a seperate fax extension in a VM call flow. You would need to direct the DID(DDI)/ICLID to a seperate call flow and use the F option there.

In reference to your issue with exactly why the calls are ending up in VM to begin with I'd have to have more information.

Actually let me change that somewhat. You can use the route by CID option in VMP 4.1 to direct the call by ICLID if you want and then direct to a seperate F option.

We cannot make seperate F tones on AA correct

like F = 478
F + 477

its just one F per AA

You can have 1 per action (Menu) but can have multiple in a module. If you use the "Variable Routing" option in VMP 4.1 (it's under the blue telephone icon) you can route your AA by DDI/DID or CLI.
3035551212 = Menu 1 with F = 247
3035551213 = Menu 2 with F = 248

I suppose for that matter if it were based on DDI/DID you would have just used a different incoming call route to different modules but whatever. For CLI this is a good option.
