I have a Definity PBX without Vectoring .. I recently purchased a castelle faxpress 2 port fax server and I am trying to set up a hauntgroup that will send the did 4 digit number to the faxpress for fax routing ... I was told definity sends few other characters before the 4 digit number but they will always be constant ..

Is this method I am exploring to use feasible?? Any suggestions or input will be greatly appreciated ..

No, you are not going to use a hunt group. You need to setup a trunk group and UDP table. You need to use a UDP table to point the range og DID's to a route pattern which will send the calls to the fax server trunk group.

Thank you for the response -- If I use your method will it shoot the 4 digit did to the fax server? Basically , All I want is a simple way of getting the destination number -- did -- to pass through in a language that the fax server will understand .. that way the fax server will route it to the destination ..

Yes, the tie trunk will pass the digits to the server.
