At a remote site I am having to put a Fibre connection in between the main building and a little office which is at the back of the site (about 200 Meters away), They have asked for 4 phones (Putting in 4 IP Phones already have a VCM 10) and 4 pc's but they also want a fax machine I am not aware of any adapters that will convert a POT phone to IP but was wondering if anyone else knows of a simular solution that will work with the IP office. My other soloution is to put a desktop in the main building and use it as a fax server to the thier PC's but I would like to keep their currenty fax machine if I can.

Anyone any ideas?

I have used Micronet SP5002 (H323 edition) for fax over VoIP before, with success.
It's important that it's configured to G711 with NO fax support!

I haven't tried on releases newer than 2.1...

Quintum have analog2voip boxes that support Fax using T.38.
These can also be used for analog phone using H.323.

I am under the impression that the IPO does not support T.38 as a protocol.

IPO uses it's own fax relay system, if you use an external fax relay device the IPO sends the fax to the device through the POT extension so it think the fax is connected directly on the IPO.
