Fax Finder FF240-IP on IPO 1

Hello all,

I am attempting to set up a Fax Finder FF240-IP on an Avaya IP Office Running R7.0 and I am running into some confusion.

My Confusion is how the Incoming Fax works. Outbound Faxes are working.

On the IPO I have set up a New SIP Line (23), with the ITSP Proxy being the FF IP Address, SIP URI just entered wildcard character “*” for Local URI.

On the ICR I set the Line Group ID to the SIP Line of (23) and the Destination to "."

I Created a Short Code of 610N; / Dial Fax / 610N"@Fax Finder IP Address and Line Group (23)

The guy that set up the FF Itself set the Extensions in the FF to 610XX

I set a Test Analog Line to Incoming/Outgoing group to (23) to test and I can see I am not fully understanding how this works with an Incoming Fax.

So Basically what I can see is the Analog Test Line is set to Incoming/Outgoing Line Group ID (23). I call the Analog Line that is set to Incoming Group (23) in which the ICR sends it to Destination "." ? Kind of lost here. I did follow the documentation on the FF Website.

Make your analog line a different line group, and make its ICR 61099 (or some other last 2 digits)
61099 will match the short code 610N and send 61099 to the Fax Finder to be received by "extension" 99.

Normally, you would be receiving your incoming fax calls on a PRI, and you would set your DID numbers' destinations to 610 and the last 2 digits of the DID, so you can route multiple DID numbers to the fax finder, it can determine which DID the call came in on, and email the incoming fax to the correct party.

TouchToneTommy: Thank you! I will give that a try and report back. Downside it changing the Line Group ID Requires a reboot.

The Default Line Group ID For the Analog Lines is 0, shall I change the test line to anything aside from 0 and the 23 "the SIP Line"?

TouchToneTommy: I have one more question. The Extensions configured in the Fax Finder are: 61001 - 61007
For the Test Line, I set an Analog Trunk to an Open Line Group ID of 2 and on the ICR set Line Group 2 to go to 61001
This goes to a Short Code of:
Code: 610N;
Feature: Dial Fax
Telephone Number: 610N"@FaxFinderIPAddress
Line Group ID: 23 (New SIP Line for the Fax Finder)

When I Sent the Test Fax - It went to Extension 1001 (Stripped off 6) - It should of went to 61001
