Occasionally, Crystal will generate a sqlnet.txt file and place it in the same folder the report I'm working on originated from. The latest one included the following text:

Fatal NI connect error 12560, connecting to:
(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=BEQ)(PROGRAM=oracle)(ARGV0=oracleORCL)(ARGS='(DESCRIPTION=(LOCAL=YES)(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=beq)))'))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=ORCL)(CID=(PROGRAM=C:\Program Files\Crystal Decisions\Crystal Reports 9\crw32.exe)(HOST=UWMF20436)(USER=jjgiemz))))

VERSION INFORMATION:
TNS for 32-bit Windows: Version 9.2.0.1.0 - Production
Oracle Bequeath NT Protocol Adapter for 32-bit Windows: Version 9.2.0.1.0 - Production
Time: 18-MAY-2004 07:39:42
Tracing not turned on.
Tns error struct:
nr err code: 0
ns main err code: 12560
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
ns secondary err code: 0
nt main err code: 530
TNS-00530: Protocol adapter error
nt secondary err code: 126
nt OS err code: 0

Is there something wrong with Crystal or is there something I should be doing? What is this message trying to tell me?
Thanks for the insight!

Hi, That message is usually created when any failure to connect to an Oracle database happens ( ofted because the wrong tnsnames.ora alias was used.)
As long as you eventually get it to connect you can delete the error file.
