Fatal exception OE occurred in VXD IFSMGR(04) 1

I am now getting a fatal exception OE at 0028-C02ADF3C ( which just happens to be while loading my favorite game "THe Sims) in VXD IFSMGR(04) +00005650. The current application will be terminated.
What I don't understand, is doesn't do this every time I run the game... I might be able to load up the game the next time I try. OR NOT! What is causing the FATAL EXCEPTION ERROR in the first place? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Try this:
If it works fine...
If it doesn't reverse the changed setting..

This problem occurs if:
You have an IDE CD-ROM drive.

The Disconnect option on the Settings Tab of the CD-ROM Properties sheet is selected

Similar error with Encarta, may be worth a shot
