Please help, i have had problems with my dvd player and have concluded that it is a piece of junk. The player freezes and makes a loud clicking sound. Ever since this problem has happened I get a fatal exception error every now and then. It reads "exception 0e has occurred at 0028 : 43657269 in vxd This was called from 0028:c001c344- in vxd". I cant figure out what the problem is. Anyones help would be much appreciated..thanks

kryptic,

Look over the results of my search:

To see if it's software related:
If you have Windows Media player 6.4, you can plays DVD's with it with a registry hack.

Go to Start>Run, type regedit, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Player\Settings

Right-click on the Settings key and choose New>String Value. Name that string EnableDVDUI. For the value, use yes.

You'll now have OpenDVD under the File menu.

Here's some other sites with good DVD info:
