I have a matsonics ms7117c motherboard with a 1.0 GHz PIII. I have 256MB Ram. When i try to install win 98 i get a Fatal exception oe at 0028:00000013, Fatal Exception oe at 0028:00000009 and oe at 0028:00000017. What can be the cause of this? I need a response as soon as possible

Andrew

You get these during install right? A possible problem is RAM. Is it 1 stick of 256 or multi sticks? If multi sticks or RAM take all but 1 out and try again. If same problem then replace and try again. If you have 1 256meg stick then try and get ahold of another RAM stick (any size) just to test this out. James Collins

It is 2 sticks of 128 MB ram, i have remove and tried, i still get the same errors. What do they mean?

Well its a possibility either both sticks are bad or the main board has problems. Could also be CPU. If you can get ahold of different RAM do that. James Collins

I have tried new sticks, i dont think the processor is bad. It started ever since i move a stick of ram, but i put it back.

Could be the RAM slots on the Main board. James Collins
