when I put a cd in the drive this blue screen appearsalso fatal exception at 0E 0177:BFF9DBA7, anyway to make it short I cannot open any cd's PLEEEEEEEEase help me

I had a problem when Installing an Iomega cdrw usb 650 drive, my compaq cd rom would throw an exception. In your description though I didn't notice the system file that was involved with the exception. With the problem I had; I had to change scsihlp3.vxd to scsihlp3.old, reboot computer, then delete the old file and the cd's, both drives, worked like a charm. I would do a search for the scsihlp3 file through find folders, make a backup of the scsihlp3 if you have it, and try the same thing I did, if it doesn't work you will at least have the backup system file on hand. Good luck
