I am having a problem with my weekend backups. The weekend backup is a full backup of all the servers.
It looks like after a while of the most amount of activity for the Backup server these errors start and it eventually stops running until you click on the ok box to clear the messages that appears on the screen. When i look at it on the monday morning there are over 50 error boxes that all have to be ok'd to continue, as soon as these have been cleared it jumps back to life.

Below is the type of message that appears.

Application popup: savefs.exe - Application Error : The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application.

your computer has run out of heapspace.
If this is recent, look at what has changed. Have you added more concurrent clients or another application?
You should consult the Microsoft help for how to increase your heapspace, be careful, it is a registry edit.

Hello,

we have the same problem, but we set the registry key described in the linked knowlegde base articles.

Should we increase the value for the third worth in the sharedsection key?
There is also a fourth worth (also 512) in the value. I cann´t find anything abaout this in the knowledge base.
The key show as following: SharedSection=1024,3072,512,512

Our system is W2K SP3 (1GB physical memory) with Networker 6.14.

Thanks in advance
Michael
