failed reading policy database information(218)

does anyone know what this error is when I do a SQL backup. I have successfully backed up these database servers in the past. now after loading 5.0 I get these messages. I still have the old 4.5 client running. Do I have to update to 5.0 client?

According to Veritas, you should be able to run 4.5 clients just fine with 5.0. The error you are getting is because the master is unable to read the backup policy configuration. This may indicate that your policy is invalid or the file directive is not where it should be. Verify what you are using for the directive and its location by deleting it from the policy and adding it back in.

Also - Make sure you have the necessary license installed.
