Doing the Andes_Coffee tutorial. Having many problems. Double and triple checked that I did everything by the book. If I do an F12 (preview in browser) without being connected to internet I get a " must be connected to the internet, work offline? " window. Click work offline and get page can't be found. Then I connect to the internet through isp and wallah! I can preview my page. Anybody know what gives? tia, Jack

Never did the tutorial,

That have live data ?

Yes - It's Macromedia's Training from the Source. All asp's and access databases were on a cd.

Yup, thats why,

It's looking for the information online.

I always found it to be a real pain, basically I have to upload whatever info - preview it there.

Make sure that the tutorial site remote host is defined as your personal web server.

normally something along the lines of

C:\Inetpub\ Live long and make your kids suffer..

I think I'm still missing something here or I didn't explain the situation right. I'm using PWS which is Microsoft's onboard server. It's located on my harddrive. Yes, the ud4 remote site is located there but it is still on my harddrive. Why should I have to be connected to the internet to preview pages on my harddrive?

Not sure mate,

I would go through your site definitions with a fine toothcomb and make sure all is correct, especially the remote server info Live long and make your kids suffer..
