Hi -

My group uses a server where we have Windows 2000 Server installed. On this machine, I am located in the Power User Group.

I have noticed that when I look at the Schedule Tasks pane that there are extra entries that are appearing that are not really tasks. These are highlighted in this picture;
However, if someone logs in as a Administrator on the machine this problem is not present. Does anyone have a clue what this is, and what is causing it? I would presume a permission error but unsure.

Thanks for your time,

Pete

Are these extra tasks being executed? You could have a look in the file 'SchedLgU.Txt' located in the WINNT folder on the server. This is a log generated by Scheduled Tasks, might come in handy to see what is going on here.

I would also check the properties of each task to see what account they are set to run against, maybe playing around with different accounts can shed some light on it.

Good luck, anyway :)

It seems some schedule tasks were created on the machine which I didn't have the proper access to, and this caused the issue I had.

Thanks,
