I am being told to make an entry in dns to resolve a site.
For namesake this site is named site.gohere.com with an ip of 10.1.5.2 and our domain is home.com with an ip of 20.5.4.1.

I need to make an entry to resolve site.gohere.com and 10.1.5.2.

I am confused on how to go about this, do I create a new lookup zone?

You said external site and those are internal ips I assume...

What DNS server and do you have an outside presence (ip)?

Are you port mapping?

Windows or BIND? Do you host your own DNS or go through a registrar/hosting company? Please provide more info...

I figured it out, I had to create a new zone and enter the site in that zone. It was pretty simple actually.
