Hi guys and gals,

I have an IPO 500 vs2, not sure of the sw level. They have a phantom user that is Unconditionally fwded out to another outside number.

When you call the user from an inside extension the call forwards outside no problem. But when you call in, get Embedded voicemail, dial the extension, you see it grab an outside line, but it goes nowhere.

When you dial in and get Emdedded voicemail and dial another extension, then that extension tansfers the call to the phantom user, it goes nowhere. Doesn't even grab another line.

Tried putting an actual extension there for the user, just to see, and it does the same thing.

Also, no error in the bottom pane. Any ideas? Just throw them out there. I can try them when I go to customer site Tuesday.

Thanks for any input.

What does monitor say?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

What sort of lines. Trunk to trunk transfer comes with a lot of restrictions and for analog trunks is usually barred by default.

The guy didn't have monitor up when I talked to him over the phone so I don't know.

He had just one Combo card on there with the 4 analog lines. And the forwarding internal calls externally was working, just not when the call came in first then was being redirected out.

Go to each line, then to Analogue Options, and tic the box for "Allow Analogue Trunk to Trunk Connect

is this guy an ipoffoce engineer?
I guess not.
Do YOUR[\b] job and make those traces yourself before doing anything else.
You cannot let the customer do these kind of stuff.

No the guy is not an engineer. He is a tech... just a Nortel tech. I was supposed to be off at the time and forgot to even have him do the trace. I was just trying to help him out with anything I could think of because I didn't have my computer handy either. (frankly I was at the beach with my kids.)
And I did double check the analog trunk transfer and he SAID it was checked.
