External Javascript files

Just out of curiosity, is there a size limit on external js files? I was editing a file and at a certain point it would give me an "Out of Memory" message. Is there a maximum number of characters that can be used including white spaces?

Think about this. Your EDITOR or OPERATING SYSTEM gave you the error message, not Javascript. So where does that put the limitation?

First, shut down your computer, wait 10 seconds, then start it back up. Try editting the JS file again and see what happens
