Thnx Guys, what is cfw

and not sure what you mean buy internal to cfxa dest, as i thought that is what i was trying to achieve

sorry

Tim

most of the time when we have trouble with cfxa it works from a internal number but not from a did to a outbound.. knowing the symptoms help isolate the problem.. post the tn. fna cfxa and key x fdn 8 should allow an internal number to dial the 4 digit dn and reach a local number.. there will be blocks when you dial that same number from an outside line and want to reach an outside line.. answering service is a great example. some of our depts utilize that at my site.. after hours they cfxa to a answering service. call in hit a menu, tod rings a after hour set, if that person does not answer after 3 rings the call is routed back to the pstn to a local number... the other example is when internal users that can't dial 9 for any reason dial a 4 digit number and reach their bosses cell phone.. internal to external...sorry if my 1st question was not clear

You may want to check your options in the CDB under RDR_DATA. Under OPT it's probably set to CFO. If so, try changing it to CFF.

cff can be the problem external to external, other wise it shouldn't matter unless i need to reread the prompt..if you made a mistake CONIGLIO, that is the 1st

CFF= Use the Ncos of the forwarding set (call forward forwarding)

CFO= Use NCOS of the Originator of the call (Call forward Originating)

of course, as always, you are right on the money, JohnPoole. redeyes1965 said s/he couldn't call forward externally and I replied to his/her post as though s/he was saying it only worked for internal callers, but only because I thought that *might* be what redeyes was actually trying to say. my bad.
