Our BCS was installed in 2000, and has no LAN functionality (i.e. C-LAN etc...). We have the typical 100+ digital ports (sets are 6402D), and 16 analog ports for modems/fax/etc.
We just came across the need to extend a 6402 across the LAN. This location is connected via a wireless link with no option of running copper there. This link is 100Mb/s.
Is there a "black box" product to bridge an Avaya digital line/pair over Ethernet?
i.e. [6402D Set] <-> [BLACKBOX] <= Ethernet LAN => [BLACKBOX] <-> [pair on linecard]
I know there are generic black boxes that will bridge an analog line (POTS), but it would be nice to keep the functionality of the smarter 6402D at the remote end.
-with thanks
