RLC (Reach Line Cards) emulate a regular Digital Line Card (NT8D02GA) so from the M1 standpoint it looks just like a digital card.
On the other hand, the card has a processor on it that runs software to connect IP to the remote 9150 or 9115 unit and this has to be programmed for the endpoint connection to work. You should have received a octopus-type cable with an 50-pin Amp connector and several DB9 connectors, and a little 9 pin to RJ45 connector for the Ethernet connection. One provides a serial 9600 N81 connection to program the initial IP number for the card; future configuration is done via IP.
