I have no idea why this is happening but I discovered it after inheriting this phone system.

KXTD1232 and TVS50 working just fine but I have found two big problems.

1. whether you call from the intercom of from outside, ext. 104 places me on hold while it picks up another CO and dials an angry old mans telephone number. I can't figure out how to stop it because we have only three phones in the building. They are ext. 101,102 and 103. We don't even have a jack for an ext. 104. Can anyone help with this? Is it possible to stop this from SYS PGM mode?

2. Our lowest phone here used for PGM is 101 and XDP is setup on this phone, ext. 201. Now, if I dial ext 201 from intercom it works fine but if I try ext 201 from outside the phone system on a CO line it rings ext. 102 and it's driving her crazy. Any ideas here as well?

Any help (read: insight) would be greatly appreciated.

hi

to cancel call forwarding, plug a phone (switch ddk connectors or directly connect to the krone stip depending on european or american system) into extension 104, do either of 2 things,

press fwd/dnd 0 = you should see all forwarding types cleared
dial 710 0 = same as above

this setup is common for the easy transfer to a mobile, for eg. a receptionist receives a call for a member of staff who has programmed their phone to forward to a mobile (may have been miskeyed the last time it was programmed, hence angry old man!!), so she presses transfer and the programmed feature key, hangs up, system takes care of the rest.

Do the same for extesnion 201, although this time you will have to use an slt, so use the code 710 0.

best of luck

D4Irl,

Thanks so much for the first tip. It worked!! I never thought of that. I used a buttset and connected to the block at ext 104 and now it doesn't forward any longer.

As for the second problem, I don't think I was clear on what's happening.

Calling ext 201 from in house (via intercom) rings ext 201 as it should BUT if you call in from an outside line, dial ext. 201 you get ext. 102. Does this make sense?

Thanks again.

hi

when you say call in from outside line, do you mean into the vps system and then key in the extension number? if so then go into programming on the vps, something sound amiss there. alternatively, dial 790 from the extension to clear all feature settings. sometimes when a user dials a phone number without dialling the line group digit first, eg 9, the accidentally key in a feature code, for eg. if i was diall the phone number 7102302 without dialling 9 first i would be setting up call forwarding to 302 if busy. seems to be a very common occurence with all systems.

hope it helps
