Exporting Word table as a tab delimited text file?

I have a table in word 2002 with 3 columns. How can I export this to a tab delimited text file?

Select table, convert to text as tab delimited (Table|Select|Convert To Text). Note that rows will be separated by paragraph marks. If required, do a find and replace to change paragraph marks to tabs. Save as plain text file.
