I am trying to get a video to VHS tape using adobe premiere 6.02 on Windows XP home. I only can get the not rendered sign and the audio but not the streaming video using fire-wire to camcorder to TV.

exporting to tape with fire-wire

Have you tried exporting your movie to your camcorder then plugging it into the tv and recording it from the tv like a normal program!
I was planning on doing it this way but my silly camcorder doesnt have dv-in so im looking for a another way to get from PC to VHS.

Even though this is really a pain, it's worth it. This is how I make all my transfers to VHS and find that the quality is even better than doing it step by step.
