We publish our reports on Crystal Enterprise but several users prefer to download / export their reports to Excel in order to manipulate them further. However, even if we create a very simple formatted report (no sub-totals etc), the export to Excel still maintains all the headers, footers and inserts blank columns etc etc. Is there an easy / better / any other way of making exporting to Excel more user friendly?
Thanks a lot.

What I believe you're asking for is to have a different report when they export to Excel, meaning that certain sections and information aren't exported.

With that in mind, I'd place a parameter in the report which prompts the user to determine if they want a more Excel friendly version, and suppress sections based on the response.

Exporting is never a beautiful thing, and I've even had different reports (subreports) fire based on the response.

Hope this helps.
