Good morning All (EST)

I have a co-worker who is trying to export a report to excel however once exported there is space between each row. This report is over 20 pages in Crystal but over 100 in Excel..

If anyone could offer suggestions..that would be great. Or we will be manually deleting these rows.

Thanks..

P.s. Thanks lyanch (Programmer)and rosemaryl (MIS) for answering my previous questions.

Try shrinking down the height of the rows in Crystal, and make sure that none of the fields overlap, this can cause blank rows during export.

Crystal releases hot fixes monthly, many of which address exporting concerns.

I have exported CR info to Excel and had the same problem. It means there is suppressed information and hence excel treats that as blank.
What i did was insert a blank column and then copy one column containing data that can be sorted (from your existing data in excel) to that blank column and then do a sort. The blanks disappear. then u can delete the copied column. It works for me as i have to work with that data in excel. Hope this helps..

I have had similar problems and one item which seems to help a large number of times is to use the grids in your design in CR. It tends to correct a large number of spacing problems
