exporting to a pdf format from CR 8.5 1

I am using 8.5 cr 835975. I cannot export to a pdf. file.

I can export to MS word just fine.

I do have the .dlls necessary in the 2 requested locations on this pc.

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.0\bin\
crtslv.dll
ExportModeller.dll

and C:\Program Files\seagate software\shared
crtslv.dll
ExportModeller.dll


C:\WINDOWS\Crystal\
crxf_pdf.dll


any suggestion ?

Hi, Jim-
CR 8.5 shouldn't even see the crtslv.dll and the exportmodeller.dll in C:\program files\common files...\bin, but unless you're using CR 9 or 10 you don't even need those files or paths. So unless you are running CE or CR 9 or 10, delete the whole path.

Also, check your dll file versions. They should all be either 8.5.x or 8.6.x.

thanks for the reply! After putzing around a bit. I finally decided to re- install the the software. NOW it works.....go figure.

I was having a problem w/ the help files on my pc. ( I also have CR 8.5) I once again did a simple removal and reinstall.

Once again it worked. This is perhaps the buggiest software I have ever used.
