Hi,

Is CR capable of exporting its report formatted in TXT separated by COMMA ?

For instance, when I export my report from CR into TXT format, notepad opens up but my data have no COMMA in between each column and there are HUGE gap between column. I want only each column separated by comman - below is a sample reported exported as TXT.

H,3,90618500,08082008,BRIDGE,461.16,46.12,1518,STOCK
D,90618500,2100540,Connoisseur,84.000,5.49,461.16,46.12

I need to export my report in TXT format, separated by comma. Is this possible in CR?

Appreciate any feedback

thanks
Jeffcis

It is important to include your version of crystal as this area in particular varies vastly between versions.

Have you attempted to export to TTX or CSV format yet?

Not sure which version you are on, but in CR10 and above. Go to Export and in drop down window select
"Separated Values CSV"

I'm using CR v11. When I select CSV format, the report opens up in excel, then the data are separated by column instead of comma. I will try with TTX.

Thats your default for CSV files.

If you open notepad first and then open the file it will be comma separated.

Alternatively right click file and use "Open With" select notepad.
