Exporting Published Applications' Icon File

hi,
does anyone here knows how to export published applications' icon file programmatically or through a tool/utility?

i know there's an EXPORT.EXE tool avaialable but it only outputs the icon's data/mask. i want to be able to export the actual icon file just as what you can see through CMC.

i'm writing this script to automate application publishing but i need to get the properties of all currently-published apps and save them in an XML.

any help will be highly appreciated.
