On the client computer, when you preview the report and click the export toolbar button, the Export Dialog box comes up and I select my format and Destination. After the export dialog box I select the range. After this I expect another dialog box (more like the save as dialog box) to show so I can give the file a name or choose a destination. Thanks.

As you say the first dialog box asks for the Destination - make sure you select disk file at this point, you will then get prompted for the file name as you expect.

I thought this was the default, it is on mine (CR9)

Disk file is always the default as it is in this case. The only problem am having is getting prompted for the filename. Thanks.

Make sure ExportModeller.dll and crtslv.dll are registered on the client machine.

According to the Runtime.hlp file (CR8.5), they should reside in \PROGRAM FILES\SEAGATE SOFTWARE\SHARED.

How do I go about registering this dll's on the client machine. Thanks.

Here's the whitepaper from the Crystal site, with instructions for registering the .dlls:
Note that the destination for the dlls is different depending on your version of Crystal:

For CR 8.5 : C:\Program Files\Seagate Software\Shared
For CR 9 : C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.0\bin

I registered the DLLs and still the export function will not work. All the DLLs that are needed are packaged and deployed with my application. Sorry....this is really a wild runtime error. Everything works fine on my PC but not the users. Thanks.
