Hi,

I have struck a problem that a week ago I didnt have. A message from servoman has previously asked something similar, but the suggestions offered did not help me.

In the premiere editing stage I have full control over and full playback on the video and audio in my project. When I export I click on 'export timeline, movie' and the export goes as normal. When I open the output file there is zero audio with the clip.

I can then go back to 'export timeline, audio' which is still available and I can export the audio alone. So I know the program can export it. (I have tried adding these two files together again in Premiere and exporting again, but I have the same no audio problem)

A week ago I was making short films and the exporting was working fine. Since then I have tried changing my audio settings, which shouldnt need doing. I have also tried reopening an old file (which I know has worked in the past) and tried to re-export that, only to have the same problem occur.

Changes I have made to the computer in the last week is to add a DVD burner. With this I have installed Ulead, power DVD and quicktime. I uninstalled quicktime and it had no effect. Before I uninstall the rest I want to see if there is something else I can try.

Any suggestions, or has anyone seen this problem??

Thanks if you can help.

What Audio & Video compressor (if any) is listed under Project>>Project Settings Video & Audio?

I mention this not to be insulting, but just a sanity check. Under export settings, do you have multiplexing enabled? There should be an option to include audio with video. It sounds like you are only exporting video.

Hey All,

Thanks for your responses. It is amazing how something so insignificant can drive you crazy for days.

For the record (volkoff007) The video compressor is 'Microsoft DV (Pal)' and under audio there is no selection available and the default is 'uncompressed'.

Irsmith, turned out your sanity check was on the money. The video only was selected. I have changed the settings and tested an export and it works fine. I have no idea how those settings changed, but from now on I will check those before I start uninstalling programs from my computer!

It is good to know you guys are here to help. I have a manual, I have a PDF manual, and I have the website for adobe. Until now I couldnt find the answer or even hints on how to solve this anywhere.

Thanks again.
