I am trying to export someinformation that is in a report in that format can anyone help. I am trying to do it through a button on a form.

I have tried to use
docmd.transfertext acExportFixed
with all the other parts but I cannot figure out the
namespecification.

thanks
Walt III
SAElukewl@netscape.net
<a href=

check out: OutputTo

PaulF

Isn't it better to export the query on which the report is based? Reports turn into a lot of extra space and such when
exported. The DoCmd. output to has a query constant. . .

I want the output to look as professional as possible and I would like it to look as much like the report as possible. It would be for attaching to emails sent to other companies.
Walt III
SAElukewl@netscape.net
<a href=

Your might want to view <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> for information about the Access Report Snapshot Viewer.

You can create a snapshot of a report into a file that your user can view (without Access!). The report will look EXACTLY like it does in Access.
Jim Conrad
JimConrad@Consultant.com

Jim's right--the Snapshot is definitely the way to go--I misunderstood your intention as being to get it into Excel. I have a page with option group to select one of a group of reports
and buttons to then preview, print, or email. The email option of do.cmd sends you into a chose format dialogue then into outlook with the Snapshot file already attached. If your recipipient doesn't have Access or right version they can view it (and print) just as it appears--it's great!
