I am using VB6 and CR9. When I choose to export a report to Word from the viewer, I get each field in a text box making editing in Word impossible. How does one get a true, text version of a report into Word so that it may be modified there?

Any help would be appreciated.

If you can upgrade to Crystal XI, it provides a new "editable RTF" export format.

Thanks, Ido. There is no way to produce editable text with earlier versions?

Thanks again, David Abineri

You can export as text, and then open the text file from word. Or export to Acrobat PDF and from there to text.

Both methods lose some of the formating.

There is a way to produce editable text with all versions of CrystalReports. You will lose no formatting!
I had the same problem as you described and so I wrote an application which allows you to export your reports to a word document without the frames you mentioned.

Taul, Thanks for your reply. Where dows one obtain your app?

Thanks, David Abineri

Hi Davida,

I have to wait until I get the technical release from my management.
How much is this application worth to you?

Regards
