Export data, append to an excel spreadsheet 1

Ive a query that picks out some data. i want to export the information to an excel spreadsheet but i want to append it to an existing spreadsheet, is this possible? and if so, can someone give me some clues?

Can you link the Excel sheet as a table and append?

Sorry for the slow response. I did have a query about not being able to delete from the file within access. So i naturally assumed that appending would be impossible too. Thanks remou, for the advice.
