Export and truncated to 255 chars...Help Please

Hi,

Any help with this would be really appreciated.

I have an access database which imports an excel sheet to a table.

On the excel sheet there is a column for comments.

In the table this is imported into a field of type "Memo"

However when I export it again, the comments get truncated to 255 chars.

Can anyone help.

I have used transferspreadsheet and also outputtable. Both the same.

What is really odd is that if I just export the table manually to excel, then it is ok??

However this is not a solution to what I am trying to do...

Please if you have any ideas, can you let me know.

Are you using version acSpreadsheetTypeExcel9?

Out of curiosity, why not link?

Yeah I am using 9.

Unfortunately I can not link as it is a system to create many different templates and then import them when they are returned, update the database and recreate them.

The user can make one at a time or 100 at a time.
