Whenever you click windows explorer in 2000, the screen flashes, explorer does not open and the applications open on the taskbar reverse themselves in order.
scanned machines for viruses, nothing found, any ideas how to resolve this problem and get windows explorer working again ?

First thing to do is check your Event Viewer to see if Explorer is throwing any errors.

Have you unstalled and new hardware or software?

If the answers to the above no, I would then re-install Internet Explorer (it is Windows Explorer in disguise). New Zealand, a great place to visit.
