I am going up the wall with this. If I use my shift+/application open, it brings up the internet home page. I am wanting to open MS Access using shift/Application, when I do it, all my desktop icons get selected and it goes on the internet. Checked virus's etc. Any ideas, thanks

For the life of me I cannot figure out what keyboard shortcut you are trying to use. And it is not listed by Microsoft:
Why not double-click, or right-click then Open?

Many thanks bcastner, I sorted it out by removing all my desktop shortcuts, shutdown, and then put them back. Holding down shift whilst opening an Access application which has been configured not to go into design mode, overides the settings and allows design mode. Does not work with an MDE version. Thanks again.
