I have a DS30v2 expansion module that has lost it's firmware. I am able to get it to keep scrolling "TFTP Poll Sent" after typing in the AT-X command for a multi-sector erase.
I am using a 3rd party TFTP... verfied everything. It is connected to a IP500v1 control unit with a configuration loaded on it that has the DS30v2 connected to expansion port 1.

Any ideas on what I might be missing?

Using 3CDaemon TFTP - pointed to the proper directory. Windows XP - firewall turned off

The IP Office will download the software from the tftp server and provide it to the DS module.
If the IP Office did not recognize the module in the past then it will not load and provide the software.
So in Manager you must see the module listed in "Control Unit", if it is not there then it is a no go.

Also, if you are using a third-party TFTP server, make sure to uncheck the one in Manager (File->Preferences->Enable BootP and TFTP servers).

I wouldn't say I "hate" my job...it's just that most days, I'd rather get kicked in the nuts repeatedly instead of being here.

You said you can "see" the module in Manager so that is a good start.
Now what does sysMonitor shows when you performe a AT-X on the module, any reaction? nothing?
Nothing is bad, then the IP Office does not respond on the module, end of the story i'm afraid.
Anything is slightly better, what is the reaction?

Yes there is information - TFTP Poll Sent is what keeps scrolling, but there is never a file sent. My TFTP server is listening on port 69.

Just use Manager and see if it receives the poll message and tries to send using the TFTP log :)

"No problem monkey socks

Open and close manager a few times.

also reboot the IPO a few times.

Ive had this and it gets its bin file eventualy.
