Exp/Imp of 400G

Hi,

Can anyone give rough idea how long does the 400G database export/import takes? or what is the best idea of defragmenting the database with lot of tables fragmented? Thanks in advance.

Depends on your server! Suggest you try an export on part of it then MULTIPLY the time BY AT LEAST 5 to get an import estimate. DaPi - no silver bullet

also, the fragmentation is not usually an issue..Oracle handles it fine, so there is no need to defrag at all unless you have more than 4096 extents for a given tablespace...

Thanks for all the input , Yes oracle handles fine after 8i database but what about 8.0.X databases.
