Hi,

I'm currently in the process of migrating Exchange 5.5 to 2003 and have run into problems with exmerge.

I have setup a test network that mirror our two domains (nt & 2003 - both different names).

I have no problems with exporting out of the 5.5 server on the NT domain to pst files on the 2003 server.

I encounter problems however, when I try to import the pst into the 2003 server, I get the "No Users Were Found Containing Mailboxes in the Database(s) Specified" message.

according to the M$ support base this is caused by using an old version of exmerge v.6.0.4417.0. (for exchange 2000). but if I check the version on my server it registers as v.6.5.7082.0.

I have tried running this as both admin & under a newly created account (exmerge) that has full Exchange admin rights with no result.

I can however export from the test mailboxes on the 2003 server to pst's using exmerge(the mailboxes have been logged onto and have mail in then to make them active)

any ideas?...

I've found the solution to the problem myself..

run exmerge as the exmerge user

select extract from the target 2003 server.

before selecting a mailbox hit back to take you back to the import / export selection

select import and use the same 2003 settings amd it will now see the mailboxes.

quite wierd, but it now works
