There could be a bug in exel, sort of like the y2k bug, a h24k bug. This has to do with that exel in time format only has 24 hours. Once you go beond that, it starts from 00:00 again, which it should. But try adding 1 hour increments (01:00) up to 25 hours (25:00), You get 1 hour (01:00).
This is fine if you are not interested in how much overtime a person will have by the end of a year, or even at the end of the month. And also, negative overtime will only show as ###############. This last one I have worked around with formulas. But this doesnt exuse microsoft.
Has anyone ancountered ths bug, and know how to bypass it?

Christian

use time format [hh]:mm

Cheers, Glenn.

Did you hear about the literalist show-jumper? He broke his nose jumping against the clock.

If you really need negative times, then use the 1904 date system. ( menu command Tools/Options/Calculation/1904 Date System )

Cheers, Glenn.

Thanks GlennUK, that helped. I didn't know about the 1904 date system. Here's a star for you!
