I've got a very strange problem I need to solve.
We've got a form which shows the data from 1 table and when I press F8 on our test environment it shows all the data I want. But on the production environment nothing happens, when I perform the query from the same form, the strange thing is that when I run the query in SQL*Plus it gives me the data I expect. All using the same user.
What I don't understand is why the execute query does not work.

Try to call show_error (I don't know your key mappings). The structure of your production database may differ from test, so you're getting "Unable to perform query", that may be suppressed on-error trigger.
Another error may be raised and catched without processing in post-query or other triggers. Try to monitor your session regarding opening the appropriate cursor fro your query.
