Hi,

I've inhereted a Tru64 LAN with my new job. Mostly a HP_UX type person with MCSE for fun.
They run V5.1 and ARCServe 6.6x. The backups haven't worked in 8 months (before I got here). Found that we're at least 5 patches old on ARCServe. I got all patches burnt to CD (the LAN is not connected to internet, standalone government type). One of the first files I have to load is uagentsetup.SP1. However, it just spits back Command Not Found when I try to execute using ./uagentsetup.SP1 or /uagentsetup.SP1. Is there a "special" way of executing in Tru64?

Thanks for any assistance.

Does this file have x permissions ?
What shell are you using ?

dblair,

Thanks for the reply. It's read and execute on all. Root setup to use csh. For fun tried to get the patch to run via my Red Hat 8.0 box with same results.

According to the Arcserve webiste these are executable scipts.
Try -
sh uagentsetup.SP1

dblair,

Well that tried to execute, then I got a bunch of "^M" unexpected errors. When I cat the file I didn't see anything out of the ordinary, but when I vi'd it I found "^M" at the end of each line. Thinking the Tru64/csh trying to include these characters as part of the syntax. I'm now manually deleting the 623 lines of "^M"'s.
Thanks for the assist.
