Hi, thanks for reading.
I have a database in Access 97 on a company network drive. I have set it to exclusive via the Tools>Options menu, I've created a shortcut with the /excl command line code to force exclusive use. However I can still open up a million copies of it.
I've read users who say if another user tries to open an exclusive database then they get a message saying it's already in use and they can't get in, and they don't want this. I DO want this message. the database relies on not being used by more than one person at a time, and so will cause loads of errors if more than one person opens it.
Any/all ideas would be greatful.
