Cant make heads nor tails of this!

I want to exclude a folder on a remote machine using the Windows Backup to connect.

Do I use an absolute path from the backup manager as the folder isn't shared?
e.g. would it be d:\my software

Also as there is a space in the folder name would I use quotes?
"d:\my software"

Or do I have to share the folder to exclude it and use a UNC path?

Thanks.

Just remembered-

Arcserve 2000 v7 build 11

thanks.

can't remember the format off the top of my head but the context sensitive help when you have the filter dialog box open in your backup job will show you the format it needs to be in.

Looked at the help, it's about as usefull as a chocolate fireguard.

Figured out one part -
If I am using the Windows Backup Agent, it's treated as local.
So if I got it right - to exclude the whole C: I would use c:\ ??

To do both that and another it would be -
c:\;d:\my software; (assuming the end semi colon tells arcserve end of long filename with space??

Thanks
