Hello,

I am currently running Microsoft SBS with exchange 2000. I have had the same problem happen a few times. Basically exchange was using up all of the system resources or most of them in the task manager. The result was the network slowed down drastically and many users were freezing. My server currently has 1.5 Gig of RAM.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

My suggestion:
Play with the anti-virus softwares....

If you have an anti-virus client installed, make sure to disable the scanning on the entire M: Drive and all of the Exchange folders.

"In space, nobody can hear you click..."

Search for IFSDRIVE on google to remove the M drive. The top entry is the MS KB on it.

Run all windows updates. Install latest Exchange service pack. Restart.

Chances are your problems will go away.
