Exchange System Management Tools

We are moving to Exchange 2000 and will have a mixture of NT4 and XP on the desktops. From what I have read it is not possible to install ESM tools unless it is Windows 2000.
Can anyone confirm this? If it is not the case how do you install ESM?

Any info appreciated.

You need 2K or better. ESM will install automatically on the exchange server itself. If you need it elsewhere, you'll have to load up a 2K box.
