Exchange Server 5.5 Mailbox Migrations & Authentication

HEY EVERYONE!!!!

When migrating mailboxes between servers in an Exchange Site some users can no longer connect to their mailboxes AFTER the mailbox has been moved. The migration completed successfully but when they try and connect it requests authentication in order to access their emails. It appears that they can't authenticate to the new Exchange Server.

Any ideas???????

I know it sounds weird, but check your PDC for licensing errors.

We had this problem, and this was the solution.

Also, make sure your MS Service packs and security fixes are applied.

Did have licensing errors, have added licenses & rebooted. We r still encountering the same issue. It's strange as it only affects certain users, in fact, it only affects certain workstations rather than user accounts.

Other actions performed include :

1. Rebooting workstation.
2. Removed workstation from domain & rejoined from the workstation side.
3. Re-installed outlook client.
4. Create a new mailbox & imported old mail into it.

Do you or anyone else have any further ideas?
