Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could please help with the following.
We have 2 exchange servers, one in a parent, and one in a child domain connected by site-to-site VPN over a Wan link. (server1.domain.local and server2.child.domain.local). They both however share a mail domain (domain.com).
We have currently started to use an external company for SPAM filtering and as a result need to send all our outbound mail through them. They asked us to just use Smarthosts on both Exchange servers to point to them. However, it seems that when we do this internal mail is also forwarded to the Smarthost (which makes sense), and therefor fails.
Does anyone know how we can setup routing/connectors between the 2 servers so that internal mail will just be directly delivered to the infostore containing that user but still allow external mail to go to the Smarthost?
I inherited this server so I am not 100% sure how it was originally setup.
Many thanks,
Matt
