faq-10-2260 did not work for me using retrospect backup with exchange agent; SBS 4.5.

I got as far as the patch - isinteg.exe -patch.

Failed for ds-e_communications-problem.

i'm sure you have this figured out by now, but before you can patch the information store your directory service needs to be running.
